Mobile Broadband Error 608
Mobile broadband users might sometimes experience an error 608 while trying to connect to the internet. This error message normally occurs when the operating system cannot connect to the USB modem or if there isn’t any active sync between the computer and the modem.
In windows based operating system like windows XP, Vista and 7 all the hardware connected to the computer will be detected in the device manager. The status of the device can be identified from the device manager. If the USB modem in the device manager is disabled or incompatible or not found then there is high possibility of getting the error 608.
If the device was working fine previously then the issue should be due to a change in the system software. Users who are aware of any new software changes can manually uninstall the software or perform a system restore.
Otherwise try the below mentioned steps
- Check if the connection is enabled. Open control panel>> Network connections>> check if the mobile broadband connection is enabled.
- Check if the device is enabled. Open control panel>> system properties>> hardware tab>> device manager>> expand network adapters>> check if the mobile broadband modem is detected without any errors.
