O2 Mobile Broadband Abroad

O2 Mobile is a subsidiary of the Telefonica Company which deals with mobile networks and communication products. At present they own their mobile networks in UK, Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. They are leaders in providing world class data services like GPRS, HSDPA, 3G and WLAN. They were also awarded a 3 star accreditation and are known to be the 6th best working companies in the world.

Pay monthly customers have to activate roaming service and also add a bolt-on package to their account before travelling. O2 Mobile Broadband does not provide the roaming facility to its PAYG customers. Customers who own an o2 mobile broadband laptop can also avail for a laptop insurance which covers damage or theft of laptops abroad.

O2 Mobile Broadband Roaming Charges

O2 allows only the pay monthly and business customers to use the mobile broadband service abroad. The roaming charges are not added to the regular billing, instead it’s provided separately. The roaming cost within Europe would be £3 per MB while the rest of the world will be charged £6 per Mb.
