4G Mobile Broadband, Next generation network.
Posted by admin on January 7, 2010 ·
If you think 3G is the best mobile technology ever, then think again. Later in 2010, you could be considered an old-hat. From the looks of it, 2010 could be the year of ultra-broadband; the year of super-fast mobile broadband; the year of high-bandwidth networking. 4G, the fourth generation of wireless standards is poking its head into the industry and in the next twelve months, this standard could very well ride a high throne.

For those who wonder what 4G is, it’s simply a better standard than 3G. It means gigabit-speed broadband access, better bandwidth, coverage and roaming. Recently, 400,000 Scandinavian subscribers were given a test ride to examine the speed between 20 to 80 Mbps at 2.6GHz. Even in the UK certain networks have been attempting 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) trials. LTE is a pre-4G technology, launched to check the performance of the actual 4G mobile broadband.
Apart from high-speed mobile broadband, 4G also paves way for high-bandwidth networking. It’s a masterly blend of voice, data, energy, and video. So, will 4G make our dreams of the ultimate mega-fast and mega-powerful mobile broadband come true? Lets wait for the launch.
