Battle over iPad by Mobile Broadband Providers
Mobile Broadband providers are reportedly competing for the iPad. Apple executives are currently flying out to London in order to hold talks with the heads of such mobile broadband providers. While the iPhone launch in the UK saw O2 winning exclusive rights for selling the smartphone, this time around, there is no clear winner as such since it is speculated that iPad rights could be offered to multiple carriers.
Apple has been constantly in touch with major network partners for this purpose. Still, there are no concrete indications of Apple’s UK plans as such. Apple, is in fact, quite an unusual firm to work with, for most network providers. This situation can be contributed to the factor that Apple holds unusual control levels over its products in the market.
