European Mobile Data Roaming Charges reduced by Vodafone

Leading mobile broadband provider and one of the five mobile network operators in the United Kingdom, Vodafone has announced its reducing its mobile data roaming charges for the customers that travelled to any country within the European Union.

As per the fresh announcement from the mobile giant, its mobile broadband customers that were on the pay monthly tariffs and paying GBP 40 per month or more would be offered free data of 25MB a day, when they roam in countries in Europe.

However, other customers of Vodafone mobile broadband would need to pay GBP 2 per day or GBP 10 a month for getting this offer when they travel in fifteen countries within European Union. The countries mentioned by Vodafone in the context are; Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Malta, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Ireland, Germany and France.

The fresh development means that the rise in data allowance from 5MB to 25MB per day would enable the roaming customers to have 750MB data per month free of charges or at a cheaper rate, as revealed by Vodafone.

Nevertheless, the most refreshing part of the new development is that as Vodafone has slashed its roaming data charges for benefiting mobile broadband subscribers – particularly the smartphone users – rival mobile service providers such as Orange, O2 and T-Mobile were likely to follow suit.
