More Spectrum demanded by Mobile Operators for LTE Rollout
The mobile broadband providers operating in the United Kingdom have emphasised their high interest in the rolling out of Long Term Evolution mobile broadband technology in the country, although they were restricted by the lack of adequate spectrum.
The roll out of the LTE technology that is widely known as 4G technology even though it is according to the experts, the latest and most advanced version of 3G broadband technology, has been something greatly expected by the businesses and the consumers in the United Kingdom. Currently, the technology is in the trial stages in the country.
Meanwhile, the mobile network operators in the United Kingdom are also looking ahead with interest to have the LTE technology deployed. Nevertheless, they have put forward the argument that more spectrum was required for them to materialise this.
Orange, a leading provider of mobile broadband service in the United Kingdom has declined to give any timeframe for its LTE framework set up. The ISP said that 4G and LTE technology belonged to the natural evolution path of mobile industry’s network infrastructure and it had no immediate idea of launching it in the UK.
A different provider of mobile service that argued for more spectrum claimed that LTE was a technology that had been persued by it for some time as well as one it was quite positive in making use of. It added that nevertheless, operating the advanced network much depended on its acquiring more spectrum.
