New O2 Offering to take Strain off 3G Networks

It has been reported that the leading mobile broadband provider and network in the United Kingdom, O2 is all set to launch a fresh offering that would help in taking the strain off the struggling 3G broadband networks of the United Kingdom.

The persistently increasing strain on the 3G network of the United Kingdom has ben quite apparent in the recent times as the networks’ lack of capacity has started taking its toll. This capacity crunch experienced by the networks makes them ill-equipped to tackle the surge of people that depended on the networks with their smartphones and mobile broadband dongles.

It is significant that O2 maintains that with their alternative connection offering to the smartphone customers, they could help in taking the strain off the 3G broadband networks in the country. It is clear that more people spending as much time on the smartphones using their comprehensive tariffs was jamming up the 3G broadband networks.

The fresh iPhone application launched in the United Kingdom by O2 has been dubbed by it as Fast Connect. The Fast Connect application enables the iPhone subscribers of O2 to access any of the 22,000 wireless broadband (WiFi) hotspots across the country using The Cloud.

According to the belief of the mobile broadband provider, the new application launched by it could help in easing the the strain on the country’s 3G broadband networks in time for the fast approaching World Cup.
