Orange CEO could head the Largest UK Mobile Firm

It is being widely percieved that the fifty year old Orange chief executive officer, Tom Alexander who came out of retirement to lead Orange could be also leading the largest mobile broadband firm in the United Kingdom resulting from the merger between Orange and T-Mobile.

Alexander is apparently on cloud nine these day’s after his company along with its future partner T-Mobile, acquired the approval for merger from the European Commission, nullifying considerable challenges that burgeoned form the rival firms in the United Kingdom.

The Orange CEO born in Somerset is the owner of a serious track record in terms of his service in the telecommunications segment. He had his first stint with telecoms sector at BT and later he also worked for Virgin Mobile. He cut a great impression by raking in GBP 20 million from the sales of Virgin mobile phones.

Later, Alexander who announced his retirement after NTL acquiring his forte company for GBP 962 million, was lured back from exile from somewhere in the south of France where he was spending time by polishing his reasonably strong car-motor bike collection.

It is indeed a compliment for Alexander that just after a couple of years of comeback to the telecoms segment, he is already No 1 in the United Kingdom, although it obviously comes at a price.
