Pre-pay Mobile Broadband crucial for Revenue Growth

Pre pay mobile broadband packages are greatly expected to boost the penetration rate of mobile broadband services across the world. This point has been observed by Margrit Sessions in her blog published on the Global Telecom Business website.

According to the blogger, mobile broadband deals of the pre-pay kind could prove to be a crucial component in providing the mobile broadband providers with the all important revenue growth. It is also notable that mobile operators across the world are launching such deals at a rapid rate, at an average of three fresh deals being introduced every month.

However, Sessions point out a major shortcoming in the still largely existing national gaps in mobile broadband coverage. To be more precise, Japan, Finland, the Czech Republic and Canada have not engaged a PC-based mobile broadband service of pre-pay type.

The pre-pay mobile broadband packages are significant for its reaching the consumer without any commitment or contract term for the person to adhere to. What the subscriber needs to pay in return is the full price of the USB modem, or in certain cases, for a data SIM card alternative as a one time fee. Meanwhile, the operator often subsidises the price of the USB modem with the pay monthly packages.

Generally, mobile broadband providers offering pre pay packages deliver a range of usage packages that vary in price according to the duration of time or allocated data allowance. Alternatively, usage charges come inclusive in the monthly rental price with the pay monthly mobile broadband deal.
