Robust Mobile Networks called for by Virgin Media

Virgin Media, the leading cable broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom has opined that the mobile broadband networks of the United Kingdom urgently needed reinforcement because of the increasingly massive demands piled on them by the users.

The significance of strengthening mobile broadband networks in the United Kingdom with a view to tackle the rising demand for the related services was highlighted by Virgin Media that is also operating a mobile broadband service in the country.

Virgin Media Business’ commercial director, Andrew McGrath stated on the official blog of the service provider that the soaring popularity of mobile applications was exerting serious pressure on the networks of the United Kingdom.

McGrath stated that the multiple mobile applications’ data intensive nature was resulting in causing digital traffic jams, particularly during busy hours, leading to seriously reduced speeds and significant charges for the consumers.

According to McGrath, the surging emphasis that was being placed on the mobile broadband use by the businesses in the United Kingdom in their day to day operations meant that the issue was seriously requiring a resolution.

McGrath added that the mobile network operators in the country should be looking to address the network-related issues faced by the country’s mobile sector by investing fibre optic, high capacity backhaul services to tackle the surge in mobile data.
