‘Windows 8’ has wonderful features, claims Microsoft
According to Microsoft, ‘Windows 8’ operating system has some excellent features.
Microsoft claims that the new operating system supports mobile broadband.
Windows 8 will offer the integration as seen in the smartphones; for example, the drivers used for the mobile broadband are made up-to-date by ‘Windows Update’, the correct mobile operators’ app is automatically downloaded by the Windows Store, etc.
It is well known that all older operating systems including Windows 7 needed manual installation of connection managers.
As per the given image, Windows 8 is connected to Vodafone UK mobile broadband. On the left there is a reading showing the mobile usage. It helps you not to go beyond the monthly allowance. On the right there is the facility to turn the broadband on or off, just like the smartphone.
Yet another important feature is ‘instant-on’ wireless connections. Normally, in any operating system, including Windows 7, it takes sometime to connect to a wireless network from standby. But in the Windows 8 the connection is made much faster. It is 12 times faster than in Windows 7. According to Microsoft, the moment the display is out of the standby, wireless net connection is established. As simple as that.
It does not mean that these features pave the way for the success of the new operating system. But these small things also matter along with the larger things to ensue success. There are more to know about the Wi-Fi and mobile broadband features.
